Our Mission Statement


 

St. Lawrence O’Toole Early Childhood Learning Center will provide each child entrusted to their care with the opportunity to grow spiritually, educationally, emotionally, socially and physically, as well as to become life-long learners in a Catholic environment.

 


St. Lawrence O’Toole Early Childhood Learning Center is a child-centered, value-oriented, co-educational Catholic school serving children ages three and four.  The Center aims for academic excellence in an environment of religious and moral formations.  Along with teaching formal subjects, St. Lawrence O’Toole Early Childhood Learning Center will strive to give direction to the lives of its students by instilling certain values

Meet Our Staff


 

 

 

 

 

 

Director - Mrs. Kim Santerre


Mrs. Santerre holds a BS in Elementary Education from Iona College and an MS in Curriculum from WesternConnecticut State University. She is an NYS and a
NYC licensed certified teacher, Pre-K-6th.  Kim taught 4th grade in the Harrison Central School District and served as a Literacy Staff Developer and teacher in the Bronx.
 
Kimberly began her career at St Lawrence O’Toole as the Coordinating Assistant for our Family Program in December of 2016, she enjoyed facilitating the “Just
the Two of Us” program, directing our St. Lawrence O’Toole VBS Camps and leading our Family Program.  When Kim isn’t working, she loves spending time
with her husband and her three sons who all went through ECLC.  Kim is  passionate about growing our school and thrilled to join the team.
 

Pre-K 4 Head Teacher - Mrs. Janice Nastasi


Mrs. Nastasi was a teacher for 28  years before coming out of retirement to join our staff as a Pre-K 4 teacher in September of 2012. Mrs. Nastasi taught Kindergarten for 14 years, First Grade for 7 years and Reading for 7 years at John F. Kennedy Elementary School in Brewster. She also taught 5 th and 6 th Grade Science for 2 years here at St. Lawrence and taught 4 years of Math in various
Middle Schools in Texas, Carmel and Pleasantville. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from Western Connecticut State College and received her Masters in Education from Cambridge College.


Pre-K 4 Head Teacher - Mrs. Stephanie Hill


Stephanie Hill has a BA in Business and an MA in Childhood Education, both from Manhattanville College in Purchase, NY. After staying home for 13 years raising her four children, Stephanie re-entered the workforce in 2020, working for New Fairfield Public Schools. Stephanie was elated to join the ECLC staff where she can work for a faith based program. She is an active member of St. Edward the Confessor in New Fairfield, CT where she teaches in the Faith Formation program. If she isn’t at work, or cheering her kids on at a sports field, she can be found exercising, reading, gardening, playing with her dogs or tending to her chickens.

Pre-K 3 Head Teacher - Mrs. Britanny Gauriloff


Mrs. Brittany Gauriloff holds a BA in Psychology and began her career as a Mental Health Worker at Four Winds Hospital.  She is a lifelong parishioner at St. John the Evangelist Church in Mahopac.  At St. John's she has been a 2nd grade catechist for the past 10 years, served on the parish council, and created & facilitated the Tiny Tots at Jesus' House program.  Mrs. Gauriloff has taken on the professional challenge of currently obtaining the nationally-renowned Child Development Associate Credential.

Mrs. Gauriloff was introduced to ECLC as a parent in 2017.  She began her career at St. Lawrence O'Toole facilitating the Just the Two of Us program, then at ECLC as a teachers aide, and as the school music teacher.  When not at school, Mrs. Gauriloff is happiest spending time with her husband, and two sons.


 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Pre-K 3 Head Teacher - Mrs. Nicole Sgro


Mrs. Nicole Sgro holds a Master of Science in Special Education and a Bachelor of Science in Childhood Education from SUNY New Paltz and is a Certified Teacher in New York State.  Prior to joining St. Lawrence’s ECLC program in 2022, Mrs Sgro taught a self-contained special education class (grades 3-5) in the South Bronx, specializing in autism.  In her spare time, Mrs Sgro enjoys gardening and spending time with her family.
