4 Ways to Give Thanks 

by Giving Back this Thanksgiving


1. Make an urgently needed financial donation to help feed 500 Bronx homeless people.
2. Donate non-perishable items by placing them in the bin at the back of the church by Monday, November 22nd by 12 noon.
We are collecting only the following items for families living in the homeless shelters in the city. We will make up gift bags worth $100 for each family using these items that are donated.
Items needed are: 
  • dish detergent  (no more than 24 ounces) or laundry detergent (if fluid, no more than 92 ounces)  
  • soap (if liquid, no more than 13 ounces) 
  • shampoo (no more than 26 ounces) 
  • conditioner (no more than 26 ounces)
  • toothpaste (no more than 6 ounces) 
  • disinfectant/household cleaning products (no more than 30 ounces) 
  • toilet paper 
  • paper towels 
  • tissues
  • women’s hygiene products
  • men’s deodorant
  • bic razors
  • shaving cream
  • baby diapers (all sizes)
  • Advil/Tylenol
  • bandaids
  • tums
  • chapstick
Items will be transported to the Bronx on Tuesday, November 23rd at 5:00 pm
3. Help pack gift bags on Monday, November 22nd at 4:00pm  and Tuesday, November 23rd at 10:00am in the St Lawrence gym.

4. Volunteer to help on Thanksgiving Day at St Anthony's Parish. 
    7:00 am — Meet in the rectory parking lot and carpool to St. Anthony’s.
    8:00 am — Work in St. Anthony’s kitchen packing meals
  10:00 am — Mass with St. Anthony parishioners
  11:00 am — Finish packing food and delivering to struggling families
    1:00 pm — Return to Brewster
