Respect Life

St. Lawrence O'Toole's Respect Life Committee is a ministry to educate about and advocate for the dignity of all people, including women, men, children, pre-born infants and the elderly. Every person is created and called by God to live an abundant life with Him and for Him. The members of the Respect Life committee feel a deep and important call from God to help people who do not understand or believe in their own dignity and to protect them from exploitation, whether that exploitation comes in the form of economic, cultural or political pressure.

40 days for Life Campaign

40 Days for Life is a community-based campaign that takes a determined, peaceful approach to showing local communities the consequences of abortion in their own neighborhoods, for their own friends and families. It puts into action a desire to cooperate with God in the carrying out of His plan for the end of abortion. It draws attention to the evil of abortion through the use of a three-point program:

  • Prayer and fasting
  • Constant vigil
  • Community outreach
