Birthright: A Good Samaritan
Submitted by Administrator on Fri, 08/27/2010 - 9:45am.Birthright is the Good Samaritan to mothers in a crisis pregnancy. Since 1974 Birthright has been helping mothers-to-be by offering a helping hand or a listening ear. All help (baby supplies, maternity clothes, diapers, formula, etc.) are all free of charge. In order to provide free help Birthright partners with churches and friends who believe in life. On Saturday, September 18 between 8am-12pm, Birthright is hosting their 20th Annual Walk for Life at FDR Park in Yorktown. Birthright needs you to get a sponsor sheet and ask your friends to support you as you walk for mothers and babies.
Your Spiritually Adopted Baby is now Seven Months Old
Submitted by Administrator on Fri, 08/13/2010 - 8:45am.Your little baby is now 15 inches in length and he is gaining weight. Beginning this month, he uses all four senses. He can see, hear, taste, touch, cough, yawn, and hiccup. He even recognizes his own mother’s voice. His grip is even stronger now than it will be after his birth. The hair on his head is growing longer and the downy covering on the rest of his body is disappearing. During this time your baby will receive antibodies from his mother providing him immunity to a wide variety of diseases. Our Lord provides.

Your Spiritually Adopted Baby is now 5 Months Old
Submitted by Administrator on Fri, 06/11/2010 - 8:15am.This month marks the half way point to birth. Your baby is very active. Weighing over a pound, and 12 inches long, he is big and strong enough to kick hard against the outside uterine wall and dent it. His sleep habits are developing, and his mother can now feel him move and stretch. Before the 4th month, although he swam with ease in his watery world, he was too small for his mother to detect movement because the inside wall of the womb has little feeling. If your baby were born now, he could survive. Your baby is a child of God.

Your Spiritually Adopted Baby is now 4 Months Old
Submitted by Administrator on Fri, 05/21/2010 - 9:30am.Your baby is growing by leaps and bounds. She is now 9 inches long and weighs about 6 ounces! Her brain has begun maturing, a process that will continue until she is 14 years old. Her taste buds are now working. Nutrients consumed by her mother are passed on to her within an hour to two. Three hundred quarts of fluid a day are sent to the baby via the umbilical cord. Fine hair begins to grow on her head, eyebrows, and eyelashes. Facial expressions, similar to those of her parents, can be seen at this time. This month, REMs (rapid eye movements) have been recorded. She’s dreaming!
