OUR PARISH IS NOW PRAYING FOR 105 BABIES… through the Spiritual Adoption Program. Please join us. Fill out a form and place it in the basket in the rear of the church. Take a prayer card, and say the prayer each day. By this (and so many other acts of love) we help to make the world ready for the coming of our Lord again.

St. Lawrence parishioners have “adopted” 91 babies to hold in prayer until they are born. We begin this program in January and complete it in October with a mass and baby shower. Please join us on this journey of love. You will find pledge forms in the rear of the church.

Rita O’Brien, Director of the Birthright Carmel Office, writes a Thank You note to the parish every month. Fr. McKeon wanted to share this particular note as follows:

Dear Fr. McKeon, We can always count on the wonderful people of St. Lawrence O'Toole! We just received a gift card for $157.38 from your monthly penny collection. It is amazing how those pennies add up during the year and how many diapers and cans of formula we are able to buy with people’s spare change. As always, thank you so much for your continued support.

2010 March for Life in Washington, D.C.

Our parishioners will join St. John’s in Mahopac for the March for Life on Friday, January 22nd. Please call Jean at 279-9277 to register for the bus. The cost is $35. per person. We gather at St. John’s church for mass at 5am, have some coffee and doughnuts and are on the road by 6 am. We return to Mahopac around 10 pm. Check the bulletin board for more information. Pray that our nation chooses LIFE!

We cannot thank you and the parishioners of St. Lawrence O'Toole enough for all the gifts we received for the Christmas Gift Drive. The generosity shown by the people of St. Lawrence certainly helped make the holidays much happier for so many families.
