Organizations
Welcome Committee
We are all called by God, through our baptism, to serve God and his Church (your fellow parishioners). One opportunity to answer that call could be, by serving as a Welcomer at Sunday Mass.
Spirituality Committee
The Spirituality Committee’s mission is to assist in the spiritual education and growth of the parishioners of St.
Liturgical Committee
The Liturgical Committee members meet once per month to educate themselves about the theology and practice of the Liturgy so that they can help oversee and promote the highest quality of worship for the parish. As a member you offer input to our Pastor and Priests to improve the celebration of the Mass, educate our parishioners about upcoming changes in the Roman Missal, and ultimately help inspire our entire Parish to worship God in spirit and truth. If you would like to find out more, please contact John Piazza at 914-319-1078 or email john.piazza@live.com.
Finance Council
The Finance Council member’s mission is to monitor the financial health of the parish. The members of the council meet monthly to review parish revenues and expenses compared to the budget plan for the year. The council is also involved in tactical and strategic planning for the parish to develop annual operating plans and to review the long range financial direction of the parish. Changes in financial issues are vetted with the council and the pastor before final decisions are made.

In doing so, we pray to support the St. Lawrence O’Toole Parish mission statement, “Responding to God’s call with Sacramental Worship, Personal Commitment and Community Action.” The Education Committee encourages parent participation in church lessons and Family Catechesis. It supports existing programs; Scripture Study, Teen Club, pre-school programs, and an ESL program.
Apostolic Service Committee
The mission of the Apostolic Service Committee is to support the St. Lawrence O’Toole parish family by enhancing, developing and assisting both parish and community programs. We are committed to helping parishioners of St. Lawrence live out their faith by service to others through parish and community action programs. Respect Life
The mission of the Respect Life Committee of St. Lawrence O’Toole is to uphold the sacredness, inherent dignity, and inestimable worth of every human person. All Catholics are called to promote renewed respect for human life, especially for the most vulnerable. Through prayer, education, and public policy advocacy, the Respect Life Committee seeks to foster an understanding of those issues that deprive the human person of respect and dignity.
