Thanksgiving Dinner for the Homebound
From St. Lawrence O’Toole Parish
This project is a cooperative effort of the San Damiano Fraternity and the St. Lawrence Council #1495, Knights of Columbus, to insure that anyone in the area who is homebound, ill or alone will have a hot turkey dinner on Thanksgiving, as well as a second meal for the next day.
Can You Help?
One of our parish families is in need of purchasing an economical used car for daily travel to and from work. More importantly, than the comfort level, is that the car must support a 100 mile daily round trip of highway driving. Please contact Deacon John at the Parish House 279-2021 if you know of anyone who wants to sell this type of car.
Book of Innocents
The Book of Innocents is a book in which families may inscribe the name of a pre-born, infant, or child they wish to have remembered in our parish prayers. The book is placed in a special display on the wall near the Blessed Mother. It is there as a reminder that every life, especially the lives of the most innocent, is a blessing from God, always to be loved and never to be forgotten. On All Souls’ Day, the book will be placed before the altar at all Masses so that parishioners can keep these children in their prayers.
St. Lawrence O’Toole Feast Day
November 14th is the feast of our patron, St. Lawrence O’Toole. A novena to our patron will begin 9 days before the feast. In order to accommodate the schedules of many parishioners, different times for the novena are planned during that time. The dates and times are listed below. Please keep this schedule as a reminder to join us as often as possible to honor our patron.
Our New Pastor
Fr. McKeon will be formally installed as Pastor of St. Lawrence O’Toole Parish on Sunday, October 26th at the 12:30PM Mass. A reception will follow the installation in the school cafeteria. All parishioners are invited to attend. If you would like to help with the reception by supplying a baked good, please call Judy Bruen at 279-3656.
