Bi-Weekly Update

Posted on 26th September 2006

Dear Parents,

What a great couple of weeks we have just completed. The two Back to School Nights were very well attended as was the Welcome Coffee for New Families. I am very grateful to the members of our Home School Association Board for a wonderful presentation and all the families that volunteered for our various fundraising events and school activities. I still need additional help with the Silent Auction and the Card Party. I will be contacting the parents who were not able to commit to an event on Back to School Night to secure your help for one of the upcoming events. A friendly reminder to send in your Silent Auction Gift. Some suggestions might include: gift certificates, linens, bottles of wine, gardening items, tools, gift cards, books, gourmet foods or teas or coffee, crystal stemware or china, nursery room items, etc. or a monetary donation. “Re-gifting” is welcomed but all items must be new. With everyone’s help, our efforts are sure to be a success!

We “ran” through our departmental schedule offering shortened periods for our sixth, seventh, and eighth graders. Our sixth graders were also introduced to the “mysteries” of conquering combination lock gremlins!
