Cooking Angels
Posted on September 27th, 2006
Many, many heartfelt thanks to all those of you who have cooked and continue to cook for the Malaguit family, whose son was paralyzed earlier this year. They are tremendously grateful for our assistance. Although it has been several months since the accident first occured, our help is still very much needed; and I am writing to request your assistance.
Please stop for a minute and consider taking the time to help this school and parish family by preparing or purchasing a meal and delivering it to them on a Tuesday or Thursday. James’s needs are still quite overwhelming and caring for him and trying to keep up with paperwork, research, construction, and continuing care is very time consuming. The tasks they face on a daily basis are still mind boggling. Can you picture yourself in that situation? Can you imagine how grateful you would be if someone brought you a meal already prepared for your family? With so much going on in their lives, finding time to cook has become a luxury, and making do has become the norm. A ready-to-heat or ready-to-eat meal from you would be such a nice gesture of support and such a welcome treat for them.
If you could help out by preparing or purchasing a meal for 6 please let me know. The calendar is completely open as of today.
Thank you in advance for your generous support.
