Once again, we would to enlist St Lawrence parishioners in assisting us with our annual pajama program. A bin will be in the church's foyer beginning next weekend, October 20 & 21 for the pajama and book collection that the Math Honor Society of Brewster High school is sponsoring from October 1st to November 9th.

We sponsor a family at Christmas providing food and presents to a family in need of assistance, run the St Jude Math-o-thon each Spring raising money for St Jude's Children Hospital while encouraging Brewster third grades to find fun in math. Many of our members also do other volunteer work for our community from working at the food pantry to baking during the holidays for the elderly. Last year the Pajama program was added to our charitable events when we discovered that this program collects new books and new pajamas for newborn to teens, children who live in shelters with their Moms, many of which don't have pajamas or a book to call their own. We were successful in delivering in excess of 70 pairs of pajamas as well as many new books to a women's shelter in Poughkeepsie and St Lawrence was instrumental in our success. Thank you,
