Fr. Peter Ekanem is joining the parish of St. Lawrence O’Toole as our new associate pastor. He is the fourth child in a Catholic family of seven boys and five girls. Fr Peter was born July 11, 1970 and ordained priest on July 18, 1998 for Catholic diocese of Ikot Ekpene, Nigeria. He first arrived the United States in 2008 and was a parochial vicar of St Gregory Barbarigo in Garnerville (from 2010). Prior to that, he was parochial vicar at St. Denis in Hopewell Junction. He holds a Bachelors degree in Philosophy from Pontifical Urban University, Rome and Masters degree in Theology from St John’s University.
