Religious Education Catechists Needed

Please prayerfully consider volunteering to teach our faith to the students in our Religious Education Program as a Catechist. Work with the young people of our Parish to instill in them the same love of the faith you have experienced.

Catechists will:

• Begin this Ministry by attending an informative Catechist Workshop on September 8th, 2012 before classes begin
• Receive a manual, guidelines, and weekly lesson plan
• Guidance, resources and support are offered throughout the year

Our Religious Education academic year is from September through May. Before going to the classroom, 1^st – 6^th grade students are taught a Church lesson each week by our Priests and Deacons for the first 15-20 minutes of class.

We are in need of Catechists for our Tues., Wed., and Thurs. afternoon sessions from 4:00 – 5:30 p.m. for grades 5 and 6. Substitute Catechists needed throughout the year for 1^st – 6^th grades. Please send us an e-mail at slotreled@comcast.net or call our office at 845-279-6098
