From St. Lawrence O’Toole ParishThis project is a cooperative effort of the San Damiano Fraternity and the St. Lawrence Council #1495, Knights of Columbus, to insure that anyone in the area who is homebound, ill or alone will have a hot turkey dinner on Thanksgiving, as well as a second meal for the next day.

Our next Midnight Run will be held on November 22nd. “Brown bag” meals will be assembled in the cafeteria at 4:30 pm (before Mass). All are welcome to volunteer in this special outreach for our needy brothers in Christ. There will also be a collection box in the vestibule of the church for donations of new men’s white tube socks, woolen hats and gloves, and small toiletries. Thank you for your continued generosity.

A special Thanksgiving Mass will be held on Wednesday evening, November 26th at 7:00 PM for Thanksgiving. Our Teen Club will host the Mass and a Reception following in the Parish House. Thanksgiving morning will be 9 AM Mass only.

Celebrate the first day of Advent! Make your own family Advent wreath! Learn how we prepare for the ‘coming’ of Our Lord!

Next Sunday, December 7th join us for our monthly Family Liturgy at the 9:30 am Mass in the Hall. Our new altar servers will be inducted at the Mass. We hope you can be part of this special liturgy and enjoy a social time in the cafeteria after the Mass.

Sunday, December 7th will be a special choir performance at St. Lawrence at 3 pm. Take time to enjoy the season of Advent at the Christmas Cantata.

Join us for a special Mass on Sunday, December 7th at 5:30 pm. All teens and parishioners are invited to be part of this Advent liturgy.

The Christmas Party meeting and rosary for the Catholic Daughters of America # 185 will be on December 9th at 7:00 pm in the Parish Meeting Room. Please bring your favorite covered dish, Grab Bag gift optional. Looking forward to seeing one and all on this special night; new members are welcome!

Take a break from the hustle and bustle and hear some special Christmas folk tales and stories. Children ages 5-10 years old are invited to come in their pajamas, have hot chocolate and cookies, and listen to some old and new Christmas favorites. Our story night is Thursday, December 11th at 7PM in the upstairs School Library.

Kids Night In…Parents Night Out returns! The St. Lawrence O’Toole Theater Department will be hosting an evening of fun for children ages 6-12. Children are invited to come on Friday, December 19th from 5-10 pm. For $20 per child, there will be crafts, activities, singing, movies, and a pizza dinner. (Teens ages 13-15 cost $10 and may come to help. It’s a great community service project!) Proceeds go towards the Theater Department. No reservations are necessary. A few tickets are available for a trip to New York City on Saturday, Dec. 20th to see the concert, Merry Christmas, New York City. Performances will be by Fr. Stan Fortuna, Al Barbarino, and Dr. Jennifer Pascaul, Music Director of St. Patrick’s Cathedral, with a 100 voice Festival Choir. The bus leaves St. Lawrence at 11:00 AM for Lincoln Center (Avery Fisher Hall) for the concert.
